Rifugio's
Rifugio Palu
Rifugio Palu, Sondrio, has the best view off all the refugio's i have been. It has a beautiful view on the lake. In summer you can enjoy hiking and in winter a snow scooter brings you to ski areas every morning. The food is perfect and the owners are very friendly and helpfull.
Rifugio Menaggio
The route to Rifugio Menaggio goes up via offroad, it is a bit of a climb but it is definitely worth the trip with the beautiful views in the meantime. Arriving at Rifugio Menaggio you can make further walks. There is a beautiful viewpoint where you can see both Lake Como and Lake Lugano (Switzerland).
Rifugio Griera
You can find Rifugio Griera on the highest mountain of Lake Como just at the other side of the lake. There are multiple routes to get there. You can also stay here for the night. We did this and it was great, the people were really kind and we had an very good dinner.
If you have a clear day you can see the lake from the Refugio.
